The international, multi-award-winning women's vocal ensemble Luminosa was founded in 2023 by six young female singers out of a shared love of music. Six personalities and six characteristic voices come together to create a homogeneous, radiant ensemble sound. This is characterized by the colorful interplay of the individual voices. The Ensemble Luminosa is the winner of the 14th a cappella competition in Leipzig 2024. In April 2024, Luminosa received the ensemble scholarship from the Mozarteum University Salzburg, with whose support a new concert concept of the women's vocal ensemble will be implemented the following year.
The six singers Cordula, Alexa, Melanie, Laure, Julia and Judith come from Germany, France and Italy and study at various European music universities in German- and Italian-speaking countries. The ensemble made its public debut in July 2023 at Alter Peter in Munich.
