Comedy by Nick Hornby / Revival
Louise and Tom meet regularly in the pub. She is a doctor and drinks white wine. He is a music critic and likes beer. However, their meeting is not a date in the traditional sense, but rather they are getting ready for their next session with their couples therapist. The couple have been married for a few years, have a child, and then a misstep followed. To be more precise: a mistake with three repetitions, Louise insists. But they decide not to shelve their marriage, but to clean up what has been swept under the carpet for years. Week after week, they discuss the smallest advances, criticize each other's quirks and draw hope from newly discovered similarities.
With these completely normal married couples, the successful British author Nick Hornby uses quick-witted dialogues to show how honest and funny a marriage crisis can be.
And don't you think it could be just a little bit down to you?
