This training course is aimed at people interested in nature, educators, teachers, parents, nature and landscape guides. No previous knowledge is necessary; just an interest in nature.
1st day: 09.05.2026 from Steinmühle 9:00 am
"Tree species and craftsmanship in the forests of the region"
Various tree species shaped the use of the forests: They provided wood as an energy and raw material. Water as a driving force and sand for glass production also played an important role. Foundlings were processed into cobblestones. These uses changed the original primeval forest, but traces of old crafts are still visible today.
Bicycle excursion (approx. 20 km) to places where the forest was used.
2nd day: 10.05.2026 from Zinow 9:00 am
"Stages of forest development"
On the forest adventure trail from Zinow to Serrahn (approx. 8 km), the forest landscape is constantly changing. Different tree species were specifically cultivated and used - a "long way to the primeval forest" can be experienced in fast motion.
Hike from the Zinow forest parking lot.
