Rostock is cleaning up! Together, we'll collect trash on the beach in Warnemünde and send a message in support of a clean Baltic Sea coast. Join us!
Around the world, people are being called upon to collect beach trash on International Coastal Cleanup Day—and Rostock is joining in with a community cleanup effort to keep the Baltic Sea coast clean.
On September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., everyone is invited to get actively involved. Beach rakes, trash bags, and gloves will be provided on-site (while supplies last). In addition, there will be exciting insights into beach maintenance work: The municipal works department and beach managers will showcase their cleanup vehicles and equipment. Divers from the Warnemünde Diving Club will be joining us this year to clean up the Alter Strom.
Starting at 1:00 p.m., all volunteers are cordially invited to a party at the HafenDommel in Rostock’s city harbor.
You can find more information about “Rostock Cleans Up” here.
Join us! We welcome every helping hand.
