Charitable work to preserve the cultural heritage

Like no other burial site in Stralsund, the St. Jürgen cemetery reflects the history of the city in historical, cultural and family history terms.

It is a place of remembrance and recreation. Charitable work in addition to the care and maintenance work for which the Hanseatic City of Stralsund is responsible can make a significant contribution to the preservation of this cultural asset.

The creative elaboration of the characteristic cemetery structures in the southern part, as laid down in the city's maintenance concept, will be continued. The specific work will be explained on site. Helpers are very welcome!

Organizational note
If possible, please bring work clothing (sturdy shoes, work gloves) and tools (spades, saws, pruning shears).

No previous gardening experience is required. The length of the working time can be chosen individually.
