Literature Festival on October 23 via livestream, featuring Bookstock Bingo, popcorn, and a raffle
International authors, a festival atmosphere, and a deep love of books—that’s what’s in store on Friday, October 23, 2026, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Stralsund City Library. That evening, the Bookstock Festival, presented by Hugendubel, will be streamed live from Munich to the library.
Every year, the Bookstock Festival brings well-known voices from the worlds of literature and BookTok to the stage. The livestream on October 23 will feature Harlan Coben and Liz Tomforde (both joining via video link) as well as Pierce Brown, Manuel Bittorf (Betterov), Hamadan Hasun, and Joe Hill. Visitors can experience the festival atmosphere together at the City Library—and admission is free.
There will be plenty of additional ambiance: In addition to the livestream, there will be popcorn and drinks at the Plot Twist Bar (in exchange for a donation to the City Library’s Friends Association), a raffle for baseball caps for book lovers, Bookstock bingo, a DIY station, and a book table to browse. This turns the livestream into a shared evening for book lovers at the Stralsund City Library.
“Of course, you can also stream the Bookstock Festival from the comfort of your own home. But we want to show that literary events can be even more enjoyable when experienced together,” says the City Library.
Admission to the event is free; no registration is required. Prizes are provided by Hugendubel.
