Joy in making music together and in various concerts connects the approx. 12 band members, which also include 2 female singers.
Founded in 1993 by Hartwig Kessler and directed by him ever since, the Big Band delights audiences with traditional big band arrangements in swing sound and Latin/Mambo, but also rock and soul.
Highlights of this ensemble in the past decades include joint performances with Udo Lindenberg, with Uschi Brüning and Klaus Lenz, as well as with the Big Band of the MV State Police Orchestra and the NDR Big Band, and a concert at the legendary Snug Harbour in New Orleans/USA. Concert tours have taken the Big Band annually to various countries around the world,
among them Japan, China, Greece, Sweden.
