Artistic photographs that show stories of the East and West border and have an emotional but often humorous effect.
For the first time, the art museum is presenting an artistic photography project. The idea and curator is Petra Göllnitz, long-time photo editor first at "Magazin" and later at "Stern". The exhibition deals with differences, overlaps, transitions and connections between German biographies east and west of the former inner-German border. Well-known photographers from both parts of Germany are included. The photographs alternate between the documented and the staged. A highly emotional, often humorous character characterizes the picture narrative as a whole - a powerful contribution to the current social discourse.
