33rd Neubrandenburg Jazz Spring, Jazz Party, The Keeds, Dejan Lazarevic Orkestar
33rd Neubrandenburg Jazz Spring, jazz party, double concert
The Keeds (D)
Funk meets a broad groove attitude. The result is called "The Keeds" and actually means "dance until the doctor comes", because the Leipzig funk band knows their craft. Tight grooves combined with driving bass lines leave no foot standing still. The riffs are sometimes hard, sometimes cozy and the whole thing is paired with a voice of the very first cream. So put on your dancing sandals and hit the dance floor!
Dejan Lazarevic Orkestar (SRB)
Dejan Lazarevič is a famous musician, winner of numerous prizes and king of the Balkan trumpet, who will seduce the jazz party community into a collective dance frenzy with his Balkan brass orchestra. He is the star of the trumpet festival in Guča, the Woodstock of Serbia, where the country's best gipsy bands blow hundreds of thousands of fans into delirium and transform the tranquil village into the weirdest party mile in the world. He makes the valves dance at breathtaking speed and unleashes wild sounds that get under your skin. Miles Davis was also fascinated by this art of Balkan brass. During a visit to Guča, the jazz icon is said to have remarked: "I didn't even know you could play the trumpet like that."
