A whole weekend filled with art, crafts, and island stories
On August 8 and 9, 2026, Gingst on Rügen will become a gathering place for artisans, artists, islanders, and vacationers.
At the historic market square and the museum courtyard, you can discover extraordinary handmade creations, meet the artisans in person, and see firsthand just how much imagination and time goes into creating truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
Look forward to jewelry, glass, ceramics, textiles, art, special one-of-a-kind pieces, and other artisanal surprises. There will also be demonstrations in the historic blacksmith’s shop, as well as special guests who will be stamping leather and cutting slate.
On Saturday, the 236th anniversary of the organ at Gingster Church will be celebrated with trumpet and organ music.
