At the Störtebeker distillery on Rügen's Mönchgut, you can immerse yourself in the world of Störtebeker single malt whiskies. During tastings, guided tours and while browsing in the showroom, you can experience the handcrafted production of the spirits up close.

Brewed, distilled and matured on the coast: the climate of the Baltic Sea coast shapes the unique taste of Störtebeker single malt whisky. Matured on the Mönchgut peninsula of Rügen with its picturesque landscape of meadows, hills, bays and beaches, the whisky reflects the original character of the coast. Simply unmistakably Nordic and with a love of the craft. Störtebeker has been working on finishing the single malt whisky in various wooden casks since 2009. The results have been so convincing that, in addition to the classic version, there are always limited editions with a special finish. Carefully selected casks from all over the world give the whisky an individual signature and a high density of aromas.

In the distillery showroom, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Störtebeker whisky, find out about the various limited editions and the classic whisky and discover and sample other regional spirits such as gin, rum and liqueurs. When the sun is shining, the spacious terrace with panoramic views of the water invites you to linger and enjoy.

During regular guided tours , visitors can look over the shoulders of the master distillers. In addition to an introduction to the artisanal production of Störtebeker single malt whiskies, you can visit the barrel cellar with its casks, some of which are over 12 years old. This is followed by a small tasting of selected whiskies from the company's own range. As a souvenir of this experience, you can take the tasting glass home with you.

The distillery is open all year round.
