Founded in 1945 as "Bunte Bühne", children's and youth theater

The Junges Staatstheater ensemble enriches the city's cultural scene with theater for children, young people and an evening program for adults. It has found its home in the Parchim Kulturmühle. As part of the Mecklenburg State Theater, it offers an extremely broad portfolio.

Other sections of the Mecklenburg State Theatre also perform here regularly with their diverse programs. These include the Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin, ballet X Schwerin, the Low German Fritz-Reuter-Bühne, drama and musical theater.

In the old clothier and shoemaker town of Parchim, Kay Gundlack finds the peace and inspiration he needs to create his bespoke shoes. Stars and celebrities order shoes from him and sometimes he even flies around the world to take measurements. In the specialist workshop in Parchim on the Elde River, visitors can watch the master at work in his shoe factory.
