The Maritime Collection Kaltenhof is a small private collection of old driven ship lanterns and nautical equipment from over 100 years of shipping. The visitor gets an insight into the lights of ships of different sizes. An old anchor lantern is lit and the visitors experience the flair of these old lanterns. Furthermore, old nautical devices for position determination, time measurement, speed measurement and weather forecasting are shown and their mode of operation is explained. Foghorns, steam whistles, shipbuilding signs; signal flags, anchor balls and numerous other exhibits round off the exhibition. A must for every interested vacationer and local.
