Viewpoints

The mountain of the same name is located in the middle of the "Wanzeberg" nature reserve. Its highest elevation is near Karenz on the Steinberg and is about 71 meters high. A steel lookout tower erected on it provides a unique view far across the approximately 40-square-kilometer mountain range.

If you are good on your feet and don't mind the climb to a height of about 20 meters, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view in good weather. Already from the 9th intermediate level, the tower climber is offered a breathtaking panorama. Just like the cranes or black storks breeding here, you can see far into the interior of the country from a bird's eye view, all the way to Ludwigslust or beyond the Elbe into the Wendland region of Lower Saxony.
