Guided hikes with alpacas, workshops and seminars, a mini farm store and overnight stays in a teepee - the Birkenkamp farm has so much to offer!

At the Birkenkamp farm, visitors can participate in hikes with alpacas every weekend. In addition, workshops and seminars are offered in the areas of arts & crafts & environmental education, management & learning and herbal walks. Fresh eggs and other products from the farm, such as alpaca wool, can be purchased in the mini farm store. From May to September, the farm also offers the opportunity to spend the night directly with the alpacas in a teepee. Also from May to September, the farm café opens on weekends in good weather with homemade delicacies.

    Experience the special magic of exploring the beauty and tranquillity of the heathland with these wonderful alpacas with their strong characters! Some of our alpacas usually choose their human hiking partner themselves. As soon as all human-alpaca pairs have been found, we start the hike.

Many of the plants we look at grow inconspicuously by the wayside - and yet they have been part of our knowledge of food and medicinal plants for centuries.

    Bekow Protected Landscape Area

    For over 100 years, the Hagenower Bekow with its bogs, ponds, forest and field has been a popular recreation area for the people of Hagenow. The protected landscape area with many special habitats can be explored on a circular trail during a walk. In summer, visitors can also refresh themselves in Hagenow's forest pool. For those who want to delve deeper into the flora and fauna, there is a free audio guide for their own smartphone.

    Old Synagogue Hagenow

    Schweizerhaus in Ludwigslust Castle Park

    City Hall Ludwigslust

    Ludwigsluster Schlossstraße is the site of today's town hall. However, the two-story brick building was not always the seat of the city administration. It was built in 1780 by Johann Joachim Busch and initially served as a court house, the upper floor of which housed the Carton-Fabrique.
