Welcome to the Landgestüt Redefin - a classical ensemble with more than 200 years of tradition in horse breeding and training in the southwest of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
140 horses live here on about 70 ha. In addition to the 5-star state riding and driving school and the ultra-modern stud farm with its own young stallion breeding, the Redefiner State Stud, one of the most beautiful in Europe, offers not only horse lovers a dreamlike ambience to stay. Experience cultural history and horse breeding in one.
Guided tours are also available for interested visitors. Learn everything about the history, the current breeding and the horses - including a tour through the stables. Stroll through the eight-hectare park grounds, which were opened especially for the Federal Horticultural Show 2009, among hornbeams, ivy flowers and day lilies and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
Experience the sporting events in spring or classical concerts, the exhibition LebensArt and much more during the summer months.
In autumn the Redefin stallion parades invite you to a special experience. On the last three Sundays in September there is a show program lasting several hours for young and old, in which the impressive stallions of the state stud present themselves in the various disciplines. The specially set up children's land delights every year with carousel, bouncy castle, pony rides and much more and also for the adults the state police orchestra, as well as regional gastronomy and traders offer musical, culinary and sensual delights in the supporting program.

Especially for those interested in horses, we have an extensive training and learning program:
- Individual lessons from class E to class S in dressage, jumping and driving with specials e.g. for tandem/random driving, side saddle lessons.
- Group lessons as courses with 2-4 riders per lesson

- official riding and driving trails: the stud trail with a distance of 160 km between Redefin to Neustadt/Dosse with a trail structure of forest paths, road surface, sandy paths, field paths; signposting is available; map material in the state studs and at the Gestütsweg e.V.; information on the infrastructure with inns, guesthouses and guest stalls via Gestütsweg e.V.
The village of Redefin offers shopping facilities in the local Konsum and a bakery, a Volksbank, general practitioners and dentists, a hairdresser. For visitors beyond the guesthouse contingent, Redefin also offers a guesthouse and an inn.
In the guest house of the state stud dogs are allowed, by appointment, on the first floor.
