The Fangelturm in Nehringen was once one of the most impressive castle complexes in Western Pomerania.
In the densely overgrown park, which stretches behind the Nehringen manor house, you will find the Fangel Tower on the right, which was once one of the most impressive castles in Western Pomerania. The tower, built in the 14th century and about 17 meters high, is situated on an artificial hill surrounded by wide moats. Situated directly on the border between Mecklenburg and Pomerania, the castle fulfilled important security and defensive functions during centuries of warfare.
