Churches

The fishermen's church in Born impresses with its Darss architecture - completely made of wood and covered with a cane roof.

The all-wood fishermen's church was built in 1934/35 by Darss craftsmen. It was built according to a model by architect Bernhard Hopp (1893-1962) and is decorated with a cane roof. Since 1984, four wooden figures thought to be lost, carved by Bernhard Hopp in 1935, have been embedded in the altar wall. The church received an organ in 1991. It is the masterpiece of the organ builder Andreas Arnold.
