Wismar’s zero-waste store becomes the backdrop for the sprouting of change. Enchanting floral arrangements from the SlowFlower movement, displayed in handmade ceramics, meet the fresh idea of compostable to-go tableware. Rounded out by a swap and sale event for started vegetable plants, garden perennials, and seeds. May brings a fresh start!
A gathering place for gardening enthusiasts, creative types, and anyone curious about packaging-free shopping.
Slowflower gardener Hanna Dittrich from Dalliendorf will demonstrate the Japanese art of flower arranging, ikebana, and invite you to try your hand at it. The vases used for this are handmade by ceramicist Christiane Gregorowius from Dambeck.
Isabelle Weniger, a student in the Material Culture Design program at Wismar University of Applied Sciences, will present her master’s thesis. She is developing a concept for disposable tableware.
At an open seed and plant exchange, you can share, trade, or sell seeds, started vegetable plants, and garden perennials.
The team at füllwerk will provide snacks and drinks in exchange for a small donation and introduce you to the world of packaging-free shopping. In the store, you’ll learn how to fill your own containers with goods without single-use packaging.
We look forward to seeing you!
