In romantic Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, almost halfway between Hamburg and Berlin, surrounded by dreamy ponds and picturesque lakes, you will find the imposing 230-year-old castle with its eventful history. Schloss Vietgest has reopened in 2020 as a cultural and event location as well as a castle hotel.
As owners, we - Miriam and Helge Jan Hager- have not only made the castle our new home, but also bring our experience from 40 weddings and 100 concerts a year to make the place accessible and lively. Interior work is still progressing: in the future we will have space for up to 60 beds, half of which are already completed. In addition to the spectacular baroque hall with 4.80 m ceilings and the inspiring garden salon and winter garden, the charm of what we call modern nobility can also be felt in the lobby, the library, the private salon and while strolling through the enchanting park. All our events have a private character and are personally attended. In terms of equipment and facilities, the almost 2,000 square meter castle has been brought into the 21st century with "modern-noble" furnishings, an elevator, ecological air-source heat pump heating, a photovoltaic system - soon there will also be charging stations for electric cars for our guests.
