Gültz Castle
The neo-classical castle was built between 1868 and 1872, and the large ballroom with its large mirrors and valuable ceiling stucco can still be admired today. The hotel has 20 rooms for rent. The park, designed by Peter Joseph Lenné, has three ponds and a very old stock of trees: copper beeches, English oaks, chestnut trees and a tree roundel with 12 apostle lime trees.

The late classicist manor house was built in 1868-1872 for Helmuth Freiherr von Maltzahn according to plans by the Mecklenburg master builder Georg Daniel. Gültz had been owned by the Pomeranian line of the von Maltzahns since the 15th century. The castle is surrounded by an extensive landscaped park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné in 1840 with mature trees, ponds and an oval of twelve winter lime trees.
Schmarsow Castle was built in 1697/98 and is one of the oldest buildings in the region. 4 vacation apartments (12 beds) and the social rooms in the castle as well as the Kavaliershaus (7 beds) are offered. The gardens are also available for guests.
Broock Castle, once the social center of the region and the largest private stud farm in Vorpommern, will be developed into a supra-regional conference and cultural center in the coming years.
Gutshaus Wietzow, a neo-Gothic manor house beautifully situated in the Tollense valley, was first mentioned around 1620 and came to the von Blücher family in the 17th century, later to the von Linden family. Karl Friedrich von Linden had an English landscape park laid out after 1750.
Here in Golchen, not only private individuals but also numerous companies that feel connected to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern have committed themselves to planting a new climate forest. Since 2009, new trees have been growing here on 1.6 hectares in a mixed forest.

"Taum Spieker" is Low German and means "Zum Speicher" in High German. Mrs. Kolbe has been running this restaurant in the idyllic village of Grischow since December 2007.
The Radler Cafe in the old granary of the green village oasis of Hohenbüssow in the Tollensetal valley is located on the EISZEITROUTE between Demmin and Klempenow and invites cyclists and hikers to take a break and linger.
