From May 23 to 25, 2026, artists in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania opened their studios, workshops, and galleries as part of KunstOffen. There were plenty of destinations to choose from, as KunstOffen had grown steadily since 1994, when the event was first held in Vorpommern. This year, around 1,000 artists at some 500 locations between the Baltic Sea and the Lake District took part, so that visitors found open doors even in sparsely populated areas. KunstOffen’s offerings ranged from painting to photography, from textiles to sculpture, and from ceramics to jewelry. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was the land of artists all year round.
There will be new KunstOffen events again in 2027. Artists in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will once again open their studios, workshops, and galleries and welcome visitors with a wideinsights into their creative work.
