Park at the riding stable in Stuthof, where you can use the existing infrastructure and start your beach ride just behind the stable doors. On wide and natural paths, the hoof prints in the forest floor will lead you safely and always dead straight towards the water. After 3.5 km you cross the only road between Markgrafenheide and Hinrichshagen, and then you can gallop carefree for over another 3 km.
Follow the signs in the forest and listen to the sound of the Baltic Sea. You ride on a 2.5 km long sandy path directly towards the beach, past the numerous beech trees that uniquely characterize the landscape. Because of the sea wind they become wind shy and bend with the direction of the wind. After cooling off together in the Baltic Sea, which sometimes brings a challenge for young horses, fortify yourself with a snack, enjoy the sun while the horses graze comfortably in the shaded paddock.

There are many alternatives for the way back. Either you ride back on the direct way (13 km) or you climb with the horse in the sand cow and visit the forestry office Wiethagen (24 km) or the Forst- und Köhlerhof in Wiethagen. If you ride a bit further in the direction of Gelbensande, you can take a break in the forest cafe Meyers Hausstelle or visit the hunting lodge Gelbensande, where you are also welcome with your horse.
