Expansive landscapes, historic buildings, deep blue lakes and plenty of idyllic countryside – the Mecklenburg Lake District offers just the right environment to take a deep breath. „Relaxation is child's play here“, says Daniel. He and his wife have designed a special booklet in which they reveal their favorite places to their guests and share the beauty of the landscape with them. After all, there is plenty to discover around the manor house.
For those who are not enjoying the large park with its beech trees or jumping into one of the numerous swimming lakes in the area, there is also plenty to discover in the manor house itself. Marianne and Daniel Krüger have modernized the 144-year-old estate according to the motto „monument meets zeitgeist“, and every piece of furniture has its own story. There were no longer any original furnishings in the manor house. That is why new furniture and accessories have moved in. Marianne and Daniel found dining tables and beds at flea markets; some pieces, such as the large, majestic four-poster bed in the vacation apartment on the first floor, were even given to the Krügers as gifts. The wing in the living room is an heirloom from Daniel's grandfather.
The atmosphere in the house is warm and welcoming. „There are evenings when we sit and chat with our guests until late into the night because it is so nice! „Being a guest with friends, that is our motto“, explains Daniel. Guests can always knock on the door and ask for tips. Sometimes this results in time together, long conversations. „We have implemented in our house what we would like to experience ourselves on our dream vacation.“ This quality, the humanity and the closeness attract people who appreciate good things. And who like to come back. To work. Or simply to go on vacation.
