The listed manor house of the former Penzlin manor is beautifully surrounded by a large park with old trees, directly above Lake Penzlin in the middle of a charming hilly landscape.
The former estate complex is still recognizable. The current manor house was probably built in the middle of the 18th century on a previous building by the von Lützow family. It changed hands over the centuries until 1945, when it was put to its usual use with apartments, an LPG kitchen, kindergarten, infirmary, consumer store and cultural hall. The house stood empty from 2003 until new owners acquired it in 2015 in order to save and revive a piece of the country's cultural heritage. A complete refurbishment was carried out, restoring the original floor plan while retaining and adding all original parts from the building period, such as doors, floorboards and window panelling. The renovation of the manor house was completed in 2018 - guest apartments were created in the attic and completed in 2019.
