Your Guide to Festival Season

Vast landscapes, lakes, the coast, and a growing, exciting cultural scene—these are the ingredients for the festivals in this vacation destination.

Kicking things off is the Immergut Festival in Neustrelitz in May. Around 5,000 visitors gather for two days filled with indie, alternative, and handpicked newcomers—on stages that have long since turned these artists from insider favorites into stars. Small, intimate, and with a signature style you’ll recognize anywhere.

In July, Airbeat One takes over in Neustadt-Glewe. The old airfield brings together every big name in electronic and club music: five days of fireworks, light shows, and a lineup that turns night into day. Airbeat One is one of the largest electronic music festivals in northern Germany—with an atmosphere you simply have to experience at least once.

In early August, the 3000° Festival to the Feldberg Lake District. Surrounded by fields, lakes, and the sounds of nature, a festival celebrating indie, folk, world music, and electronic music unfolds—complemented by theater, acrobatics, and workshops. Colorful, lovingly curated, and created by festival lovers for festival lovers.

Also in August, the Pangea Festival in Pütnitz by the lake awaits you.
Four days of music, sports, culture, and adventure right on the Bodden—with a lineup featuring indie, pop, rap, and electro. If you still have energy between sets, grab a surfboard, climb the bouldering wall, try SUP yoga on the water, or do a few laps at the skatepark.

In August, the TeteRock Festival in Rüggow all weekend long with trendy and well-known rock bands taking the stage from Friday through Sunday. A festival for everyone who craves authentic, unamplified guitar sounds.

The year wraps up with the Electric Sea Festival in Rostock in December. Electronic sounds meet the Baltic Sea coast—a final burst of energy and a strong finale for a festival season that runs from May through December.

From spring through the beginning of winter, there’s always a reason to dance in the vacation destination of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
