Danceable Latin grooves by the band "República Cangrej"
Open-Air Event for the Closing of “Ruth Tesmar – Gardens of My Life” As
part of the closing event for the exhibition “Ruth Tesmar – Gardens of My Life,” the Kulturforum Schleswig-Holstein-Haus invites you to a summery open-air evening in the garden. Look forward to rousing live music by the band República Cangrejo, danceable rhythms, light snacks, and cool drinks in a relaxed atmosphere under the open sky.
The band República Cangrejo takes the stage at 6 p.m. The four musicians blend Afro-Caribbean and Colombian folk influences with a modern sound—creating a distinctive sound that is both powerful and captivating. Guitar, bass, vocals, and drums unleash an energy you can feel before you hear it: driving rhythms, pulsating strings, and a voice that tells stories that span continents.
Always on the hunt for new sounds, the band embarks on a journey to its musical roots—and reinterprets them in its own contemporary way. Live, this becomes a musical journey of discovery through the soundscapes of South America and the Caribbean—straight to the dance floor.
Tickets are available for 10 euros. Children and teens up to age 18 get in free. Tickets can be purchased online via Reservix or directly at the Kulturforum.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m.; the show starts at 6:00 p.m.
