Played by actors from the Lebenshilfswerk Waren
The fairy tale "Zar Wasserwirbel" is performed as a Christmas fairy tale in Waren's Bürgersaal. It will be performed by actors from the Lebenshilfswerk in Waren. Some of the actors have already performed successfully in other productions, for others it is something new to try their hand at acting. The whole thing is staged and performed by director Cordula Alwardt.
On stage, the wish that many people cherish in our time comes true: "The war is over!"
A retired soldier, who has been discharged from the army now that there is peace, meets the young milksop Vanya on the march back home and takes care of him. Bad things had happened to the boy's mother: She had been abducted to the underwater realm by Tsar Water Vortex, a powerful and devious villain, because she is so wonderful at cooking. The two of them now set off in search of her, but are exposed to many dangers. But with the help of the clever and cunning princess, the tsar's daughter, the brave soldier is able to overcome all obstacles until Vanya can embrace his mother again. And so, in the end, when all the dangers have been averted, everything turns out well and a wedding is celebrated.
The whole thing is framed by 13 actors in larger and smaller roles, who bring a lot of fun and playfulness to the creation of their roles.
