Two open school workshops entitled "Arche Musica" invite young people to actively experience Jewish musical tradition. On 15 December at 11 am in the Stavenhagen Synagogue and on the same day at 3 pm in the Röbel Synagogue, cantor Yoed Sorek (vocals) and violinist Samuel Seifert will guide pupils through compositions from the years 1890 to 1945. These are works from a time of Jewish emancipation, overshadowed by the Holocaust. The participants become active co-creators of an artistic rescue operation. From forgotten melodies to handwritten scores, Sorek and Seifert open up a world in which notes tell stories and voices carry the past into the future.
