The Bad Doberan cultural initiative is dedicated to a specific theme every year. The town's cultural institutions showcase the versatility of the theme in exhibitions, readings, concerts and lectures.
In 2026, "women" will define our cultural year.
As part of the initiative, we are presenting the following highlights at the Stadt- und Bädermuseum:

- 17.4.2026 17.00: "Between childbirth and courtly representation: The Grand Duchesses of Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1815-1918" Lecture by Dr. Angelika Rosenfeld
- 17.5.2026 12.00 pm: Opening of the exhibition "Curse and blessing - old knowledge rediscovered. How midwives and monks shaped everyday life.
