WILD - The Animal in Contemporary Art

The exhibition is dedicated to the animal in contemporary art. The exhibition brings together current works by artists from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Berlin, and Leipzig and presents pieces that explore the multifaceted dimensions of the relationship between humans and animals, as well as between culture and nature. Among other things, it addresses the instrumental relationship between humans and animals, as well as anthropogenic species extinction. Against the backdrop of climate change and ecological and social crises, art functions as a seismograph of an unstable present. The exhibition presents a broad spectrum of artistic approaches, ranging from drawing and painting to sculptural ceramics and photography.
