Lawyer for family law informs, gives legal advice, tips and answers questions
When parents separate, many families are faced with these legal questions: Who pays what amount of child maintenance? How will contact be arranged? What does joint or sole custody mean?
In principle, the parent with whom the child does not predominantly live is liable to pay maintenance. The amount of maintenance depends on the income of the parent who is liable to pay maintenance. Children have the right to contact with both parents even after their parents have separated. More and more families are opting for equal childcare after separation. What criteria are important here? Even after separation, the parents retain joint custody. This means that important decisions - such as the choice of school, medical care or place of residence - must be made jointly. The aim of all arrangements is to protect the welfare of the child and to enable stable relationships with both parents. A lawyer from Rostock will be providing details on this topic on March 23 at 6.30 p.m. at the Kultur- und Medienzentrum (FRIEDA 23) in 18057 Rostock, Friedrichstraße 23.
