Jettl Quednau’s cosmos begins in her immediate surroundings. Her home, garden, the landscape, and the spaces she has designed are not only her living environment but also the foundation of her artistic practice. Her observations of light, colors, plants, and landscapes are transformed and incorporated into her paintings.
“My Cosmos” does not refer to a self-contained world. For the artist, everything is interconnected. Even the art of other artists, to which she gives space in her home and garden, becomes part of this living fabric. Living, observing nature, collecting, designing, painting, and exhibiting all blend into one another.
Through her paintings, Jettl Quednau invites visitors to explore these connections. Her work leads from the visible landscape to a personal experience and back again. In this way, “MeinKosmos” also touches on the theme of LUPINALE 2026: “A Turning Point: Upheavals and Glimmers of Hope.” For change shifts our perspective on the familiar. A glimmer of hope can emerge where the familiar is seen in a new light.
The exhibition will be on view from September 19 through October 17, 2026, at the Kunsthaus Lübz, Kirchenstraße 20. It is open Fridays and Saturdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
On October 17 at 6 p.m., the grand end-of-season celebration will begin under the theme “Art – Cuisine – Sound.” The program also includes a major art auction. The works provided by the artists for this auction can be viewed at the Kunsthaus during regular opening hours starting September 25.
