Ukraine's western external border, 2022 - 2025, exhibition by documentary photographer Ludwig Nikulski at the Lexow Manor House
We are opening the exhibition by documentary photographer Ludwig Nikulski at the Lexow Manor House. In Unter den Palmen he has been following the western outer borders of Ukraine since 2022 - the geographical line that separates Europe from war. Using a large-format analog camera, he photographs in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Transnistria. Photographs and accompanying texts explore the contradiction between the presence and absence of war and show how everyday life and the state of emergency merge in the border regions. The artist talk will be led by Oskreuz photographer Tobias Kruse. This will be followed by a dinner with the artists, to which guests are welcome.
