Former KHK Andreas Schnurbusch as a guest
When can you experience a real retired detective chief inspector (KHK a.D.) live? On January 28, 2026 at 7 pm in the Zeughaus at Ulmenstr. 15!
The city library and its support association invite you to a true crime event: "How do I kill my mother-in-law?"
In an entertaining and at the same time informative lecture - accompanied by cartoons and interactive elements - Andreas Schnurbusch, former chief detective inspector and crime writer, sheds light on the crime against the mother-in-law. With a wink, of course. The lecture combines humorous and serious true crime aspects from his time as a police officer, drug investigator and homicide detective in Cologne. Topics include:
- How realistic are TV crime scenes?
- What do clues reveal in reality?
- Why is a "perfect crime" hardly possible?
Psychological questions are not neglected either: Is there a criminal gene? And do zodiac signs really have anything to do with criminal tendencies?
Tickets for the library's first evening event are now available in advance during opening hours at a price of 8.00 euros. Advance bookings can be made by calling 03841 251 4020. Any remaining tickets are available at the box office for 10 euros.
"Maybe this is also an idea for Santa Claus. Give it to your mother-in-law and take her to see it together," suggests Uta Mach with a laugh. "It will be an evening of suspense, humor and real investigative work - guaranteed without traces of blood, but with plenty of aha moments."
