Volunteer hospice companions have painted death from their souls
The Kunstverein Roter Pavillon e.V. opens the exhibition year 2026 together with the outpatient hospice and children's hospice service of Caritas Kühlungsborn and the exhibition "Life is color - color is life".
People don't like to talk about death. In their work, the volunteer companions repeatedly encounter a great deal of speechlessness. There are no words for what they feel, what drives them and often makes them feel powerless and helpless.
Anyone who has to deal with death and dying feels traces, it takes strength and wants to be processed. One form is painting one's own emotional world. In large formats, with many colors and various painting utensils, they give their feelings a language in the form of diverse pictures that they have created as part of their art therapy supervision. They have painted death from their souls, so to speak, and invite you to immerse yourself in their emotional world, to be touched and to discover a different perspective on life.
The exhibition is open until 28.2., Wed to Sat from 14.00 to 17.00.
