Ancient giant trees, winding paths, streams, and the Neo-Gothic castle make Schlemmin Castle Park a special place for a late-summer stroll.
Treckeltied is the annual weekend of open parks and gardens in Northern Vorpommern. On September 12 and 13, 2026, unique gardens and parks invite visitors to explore, relax, and connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts. An overview of all participating locations is available on the Gartenpfad Nordvorpommern website.
As part of Treckeltied, the Schlemmin Castle Park invites visitors to enjoy a late-summer stroll on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
The Neo-Gothic castle is nestled within a landscape park spanning more than 18 hectares. Along the loop trail, visitors can discover oak, beech, black locust, and larch trees up to 500 years old. Winding paths, idyllic waterways, arched bridges, and ever-changing views of the white castle define the park’s unique atmosphere.
You can explore the park on your own. The castle restaurant and café are perfect for taking a break.
