The History of Democracy: Examples from Rostock—This themed walking tour through the city center takes you through several eras.
The tour focuses on the emancipation and participation of the people of Rostock and, consequently, their influence on the city’s decisions and developments. At selected locations in the city center, opportunities for public participation from the Middle Ages to the present are explored. Historical events and the contributions of notable figures are woven together to create a vivid account of the city’s history.
The approximately 90-minute tour starts at the Kröpeliner Tor and costs 5 euros per person (reduced rate: 4 euros).
