"The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats" is part of the 8th Theater Festival Vorpommern—a festival that brings theater directly to the people.
Puppet Show from Inside a Coat, Based on the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tale
The puppeteer enters the stage: Enveloped in a large cloak , he conjures up the Grimm fairy tale “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats” from within his cloak . The cloak contains the goats’ house and shelters the Goat family, complete with a clock case, a bathtub, and everything else that goes with it. When the coat closes, it becomes a door that the wolf cannot easily break through, and the struggle to open the door begins; the audience will be amazed to discover that a wolf can even flatten its nose against a buttoned-up coat.
But—as everyone knows from the fairy tale—the wolf eventually manages to break into the Goat House. The story would have a tragic ending if it weren’t for Karin. Karin is the youngest little goat, and she often has to stand her ground against her six older brothers. It goes without saying that she’ll manage to hide from the wolf, too.
