"The PAUL BARTSCH AKUSTIK-TRIO presents its current program: "Common Cause"
Dreams in the head, anger in the stomach, warmth in the heart - this is the material from which the Halle singer-songwriter PAUL BARTSCH has been tailoring his songs for years. In adept interplay with his trio partners Thomas Fahnert (guitars, violin, vocals) and Sander Lueken (keyboards, vocals), the result is an offering with catchy tune quality that doesn't pander to fashionable trends, but relies on an audience beyond retort pop, techno drone and flat pop tunes. Everything is handmade, of course - straightforward, honest and unadorned as a powerful mixture of folk, blues, rock and chanson. A "common cause" in the best sense of the word as a musical journey through life between childhood and ageing, the search for an unknown land and the need for home and security. The result is an entertaining, sometimes thought-provoking, but always encouraging pleasure as a search for the possible in our changing world, in which the audience is involved in a variety of ways.
To accompany the program, the vinyl double LP "Gemeinsame Sache" will be released in summer 2025, which was recorded at a live concert of the complete band in 2024.
For their artistic work, PAUL BARTSCH & BAND and the Paul Bartsch Acoustic Trio were awarded the German Singer/Songwriter Prize 2020 and 2024 at the annual German Rock & Pop Awards!
