Charity concert to benefit the restoration of the Kalkhorst church bell from 1417.
At the benefit concert on Saturday, October 10, at 5:00 p.m., held to raise funds for the restoration of the church bell—which is in need of repair—the most beautiful evening hymns from several centuries will be performed. The Grevesmühlen Ecumenical Choir will perform under the direction of Cantor Michael Goede. The approximately 60-minute program includes works ranging from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Romantic periods all the way to contemporary pop ballads. Of course, classics such as “Der Mond ist aufgegangen” and “Guten Abend, gut’ Nacht” will also be featured. Admission is free!
