Schwesterherz is a German feature film directed by Ed Herzog in 2006.
33-year-old music manager Anne (Heike Makatsch) actually has other things to worry about at the moment: stress at the record company, her relationship with her boyfriend Philipp (Marc Hosemann) is anything but rosy and she's also pregnant! But she has given her little sister Marie (Anna Maria Mühe) a trip to Benidorm in Spain for her 18th birthday. And now that the trip is booked, the little-known sisters take off for Spain. There they gradually grow closer, and Marie increasingly recognizes in her admired sister an unhappy and bitter woman who is only hiding behind a façade of self-confidence and verve. The mood between the sisters slowly deteriorates and escalates into an open quarrel when Marie falls in love with Max (Sebastian Urzendowsky), whom her older sister had previously hooked up with while drunk.
