In this adaptation of the crime novel *The Block*, we journey through a fateful night in Paris. The “Patriotic Bloc” is on the verge of seizing power in France, and while Antoine prepares to serve as a minister in the first far-right government, his closest confidant, Stanko—long the head of the party’s paramilitary security force—is to be eliminated that very night. “Der Block” traces the life stories of the two men and, in a gripping way, confronts them with the question of “the Other.”
