Between neighborhood conflicts and the eternal question of justice, a play about morality, power and manipulation unfolds in Der Biberpelz. Very loosely based on Gerhart Hauptmann, this production by the Spieltrieb theater group relocates the action to a contemporary Rostock apartment building. With humor and a feel for social tensions, the play tells of deception, prejudice and cohesion - and of how quickly truth and lies can become mixed up.
Without a fixed director, but characterized by shared ideas and artistic exchange, the Spieltrieb ensemble brings the independently developed play to the stage of the Ateliertheater.
