In her bestseller "Klub Druzhba", Rebecca Maria Salentin described her three-month trek along the "Path of Friendship" from Eisenach to Budapest. Spurred on by the success of this journey, which she completed completely untrained, with a large portion of fear in her luggage but equipped with a strong will, she set off again: this time by bike, packed as lightly as possible. She covered almost 10,000 kilometers, along the former Iron Curtain, on the Iron Curtain Trail. A journey through 20 countries, from the Black Sea to the Barents Sea, across almost impassable borders, through icy cold and lonely nights. But also past some unexpectedly beautiful landscapes, through wild areas, peppered with surprising encounters and stories, with a lot of reflection on her own origins.
