For over two decades and with well over 1,000 concerts and appearances at various festivals in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and England, this Celtic folk-rock combo—in its trio lineup—has been touring on the annual OTTER TOUR, performing at the most beautiful locations along the Baltic Sea coast and the lakes of Mecklenburg—always featuring original songs from six albums and the best of more than a quarter-century of the band’s history.

Today,The ABERLOUR’S are among the few Celtic rock bands from Germany to have reached an international level—and they shine just as brightly in the folk scene as they do at metal festivals like Wacken and classical or medieval events like the Medieval Selb. Rare acoustic instruments like the cittern and mandocello meet thunderous grooves, while melodic vocal lines complement furious fiddle and accordion parts to create a magical whole. Wildly romantic and whimsical stories from Old Ireland, Scotland, England, and now German verses as well; carried by speed folk, worldbeat, and Celtic mysticism—Celtic Folk’n’Beat.

The band has performed four times on the legendary Irish Heart Beat Tour—organized by the renowned agency Magnetic Music—across Germany alongside famous colleagues from overseas, each time serving as a unique bridge between high-caliber Celtic folk and concert-style rock.
