Fresh into the fall
On Friday, 22.08.2025 at 16:00 it's that time again. Our herb expert Annelore Sedat will explain facts and figures and give all kinds of tips and advice on recipes using what is currently available in the garden and in nature. How about sophisticated herb sauces and herb dips for summer barbecues, prepared with garden or wild herbs? Home-baked herby and spicy breads or muffins also go well with these. A tasty, refreshing summer punch, naturally flavored with herbs, helps to quench your thirst. Which herbs are suitable for grilling and smoking? You can make potato chips from nettles or sage leaves for snacking.
All these herbs can still be harvested now. Newly planted aromatic herbs can also be harvested. To ensure that fresh herbs such as rosemary, sage, curry herb and basil are also available in the future, they can be propagated by cuttings. The harvested herbs can also be used to conjure up little treasures such as bath chocolates, massage oils and the like. The absolute expert Annelore Sedat will reveal how all this can be created in the upper seminar room of the Mecklenburger Hallenhaus and will be available to visitors until around 5:30 pm. The room can be reached via the north entrance coming from Groß Klein. Participation costs €5 per person, to be paid on site.
