Meeting and exchange of local history collectors and researchers
This year, there is a special regional focus in connection with three current local anniversaries.
Dr. Axel Lubinski will speak about the history of the church and pastors of Cammin, Prof. Manfred Füting will present the new chronicle of Petersdorf near Malchow and Siebo Woydt will reveal "How horse thieves made Langhagen 59 years older in two days".
The second focus of the program is dedicated to the "tools of the trade" for working on a local chronicle. The lecture by Dr. Gunther Viereck, Head of the Rostock University Archives, will focus on the use of artificial intelligence when reading historical manuscripts and prints. An overview of the principles of copyright law will be given by Jan Kessel, legal advisor to the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Volunteer Foundation.
At the end of the event, all participants will also have the opportunity to present their own current research, newly released publications and other local chronicle work in short contributions.
You have the opportunity to purchase sandwiches at cost price during the lunch break, please use your registration and let us know the desired number by 24.03.2026.
