2025/26 Live Tour
Originally founded in 1964 in Meissen, Saxony, by Martin Schreier and other musicians, the Stern-Combo Meißen was on the road from early 2024 through mid-September 2025 for its extremely successful anniversary tour, featuring well over 60 concerts under the motto “60 Years… The Long Road,” performing live. In sold-out venues, the band impressively demonstrated that, despite having 60 years under their belt, they didn’t sound the least bit dated or even old-fashioned.
Quite the contrary: As the longest-serving art rock legend, the band presented itself as fresh as ever and brimming with new musical ideas! The release of the album *The Nebra Sky Disk* in September 2024 provided the perfect momentum, earning top marks from both the audience and numerous media outlets. Above all, singer, keyboardist, and composer Manuel Schmid once again emerged as the band’s creative driving force on this album, which impressively explores the origins of a culturally and historically significant artifact of human history—namely, the Nebra Sky Disk.
In 2026 as well, the Stern-Combo Meißen will once again be performing live on many stages across the country. Listeners can expect new songs, but also unforgettable classics such as *Der Kampf um den Südpol*, “Die Sage,” “Der weite Weg,” “Stundenschlag,” “Wir sind die Sonne,” “Eine Nacht,” “Nimm die Welt in die Hand,” or excerpts from the concept album *Weißes Gold* will, of course, be part of this tour. With over 12 released and successful studio albums, the band can draw from its rich repertoire of songs to make each of its concerts unique.
Musical excellence is ensured by band founder, percussionist, and singer Martin Schreier; singer and keyboardist Manuel Schmid; drummer Frank Schirmer; bassist Axel Schäfer; keyboardist Sebastian Düwelt; and guitarist Michael Lehrmann.
Stern-Combo Meißen—an unforgettable concert experience in 2025/26 as well!
