"80 years of Neil Young - a good reason to celebrate"
Friday 08.05.2026 is the day. Stefan Keil, Germany's best Neil Young interpreter, does the honors and performs at "Konzert im Kultursaal" on the island of Poel in Kirchdorf.
"Germany's best Neil Young", ... "no one is as close to the original as Stefan Keil", ... "the man with the Blacky" ... "the guitar is not broken - it has to sound like this" ... "a feeling like Woodstock" and ... "Thanks for the great Neil Young evening!" are just a few excerpts of what fans and the press keep saying.
Let's be honest. This music has accompanied almost everyone through life. Whether it's around a campfire with friends or your first heartbeat - Neil Young and his music are timeless and he has shaped culture like no other. From the outside alone, everyone can immediately tell what music Stefan's heart beats for and with his black Paula, he does Neil Young proud. His sound is unique and unmistakable: rustic, earthy and, above all, honest. An exceptional artist of a very special kind who lets his fans look deep into his heart. Stefan interprets the songs in his unmistakable way and sometimes plays brute and saws a "Like A Hurricane" with the electric guitar for which he really doesn't have to hide. Then he becomes melodic again and "Pocahontas unplugged" is a delight. Stefan also cuts a really good figure on the double bass in "Califonia Sunset". Una leads through the program, spicing up the performance with little anecdotes about the genesis of individual songs and what has changed here and there in the songs to this day and what happens in Neil Young's life. Una lives up to her second name "Unapedia". Depending on the mood, she adapts the repertoire to the audience and so every performance becomes a very personal event. She also performs her own songs, in the style of Neil Young - and here's the thing - Neil has received our own album from us on his 2025 tour - how cool is that!
